Friendly Cleaners was founded in 1954 by Steve Mindzak. Steve had previously been the manager of Coronet Cleaners for 4 years with 60 employees. His job was training new employees. He decided to start his own business. From the beginning of the new business, he decided to provide the highest quality fabricare service to the community. 

In 1968, Mindzak went to dry cleaning school in Silver Springs, Maryland, which is now called the IFI (International Fabricare Institute), for intensive training of new fabrics and finishing.

While Friendly Cleaners has grown dramatically over the last 50 years, the commitment to the foundation of quality has never been forgotten. Every improvement or addition in the services offered by Friendly Cleaners is first evaluated on its own merits to maintain the standards of quality as set forth by Steve back in 1954.
